Student successes with AmplifyME programme

School of Economics students have been designated 'high potential candidates' following their performances in AmplifyME finance and banking simulations.

School of Economics students are given the opportunity to participate in a programme of finance and banking simulations offered by an external partner, AmplifyME. Thirty universities worldwide have participated in the programme this year, including Harvard, Duke and UCL, placing our students in very good company.

So far, 185 Sheffield students have taken part in the programme with 18 of our students selected as "high potential candidates" by AmplifyME due to their performance in simulations. These students will now be given (free) access to advanced simulations, with opportunities to be fast-tracked for internships and graduate jobs with UBS, Morgan Stanley and others. The fact that our students have held their own in the company of the universities mentioned above is impressive.

We recently held an event to celebrate our students successes in the AmplifyME programme, with presentations by Conor Tordoff from Rathbones, Jenny Wright from Money and Pensions Service, Jonathan Guest from Amion Consulting and George Backhouse from AmplifyME.

The programme continues until the end of August and we encourage any students who haven't yet participated, to enrol and take part.
