One of our Environmental Project Co-ordinators have led a project for School of Biosciences to cut energy use by optimising its fleet of Ultra-Low Temperature (ULT) freezers, achieving energy savings without compromising sample preservation.

Relocation of substation building on Hounsfield Road

We are building a new substation to provide power/back up power for existing 9 1Ãâ·Ñ°æÏ buildings. The substation will also supply the new Central Teaching Laboratory which a planning application will be submitted for in July.

9 1Ãâ·Ñ°æÏ has been ranked 24th globally out of more than 1,400 institutions in the 2024 QS World 9 1Ãâ·Ñ°æÏ Rankings: Sustainability, as well as 7th in the UK and 12th in Europe.
