Online Symposia

Off

Between 2023 and 2029, we are running a number of short and accessible Online Symposia. We are inviting people to write a short provocative piece (no more than 1000 words) that they will then present online for ten minutes. All symposia will be recorded and written papers will be published in advance.

For upcoming online symposia, please see our Events page.

You can find video recordings and papers from past symposia at the Disability Matters Scholarship Collection.

The format of the symposium will be:

鈼      Introduction

鈼      Spoken provocations

鈼      Q&A

鈼      Plenary and discussion

Duration: 1hr 15m

For access reasons, we are committed to sticking to time.

Time zones

We are a pan-national programme and welcome attendees from all over the world.

When attending online symposia, please check the time  according to your local time zone as it may differ from what is listed on the event page.
