Student-led ensembles
There are a wide range of music groups and societies students can sign up to throughout the academic year. Many of our students run and get involved with student-led ensembles giving them artistic management experience.
Sheffield 9 1Ѱ Music Society represents students involved in musical activities and enhances the social side of students university experience. Run by a committee of music students, it runs relaxed socials with a focus on inclusions and welfare as well as meals out, quiz nights, nights out, open mic nights and many more. Students from across the 9 1Ѱ can get involved with socials and events which creates a community of musicians across the university.

International postgraduate taught scholarships
We offer a generous package of financial support for international postgraduate taught students, including scholarships worth £10,000 towards the original tuition fee.
Applications are open for existing offer holders for a postgraduate taught programme starting in September 2025.
