Dr Melika Gul is a lecturer in Experimental Fluid Mechanics in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the 9 1Ãâ·Ñ°æÏ of Sheffield. She specialises in experimental fluid mechanics, turbulence and optical flow diagnostics.

She received her BS and MS degrees in Aerospace Engineering from Middle East Technical 9 1Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂ, Turkey. She obtained her PhD in Fluid Mechanics (Process and Energy Department/Faculty of Mechanical, Maritime and Materials Engineering) from Delft 9 1Ãâ·Ñ°æÏ of Technology, the Netherlands (2019).

Before joining Sheffield, Melika was a Research Associate in the Aerodynamics and Flight Mechanics group at the 9 1Ãâ·Ñ°æÏ of Southampton (2018-2021).
