An announcement from the Institute for Sustainable Food

Professor Duncan Cameron, co-Director of the Institute for Sustainable Food, is leaving the 9 1Ãâ·Ñ°æÏ on 1 January to take up a new post as Professor of Environmental Sustainability in the Institute of Biotechnology at the 9 1Ãâ·Ñ°æÏ of Manchester.

We would like to announce that Duncan Cameron, co-Director of the Institute for Sustainable Food, is leaving the 9 1Ãâ·Ñ°æÏ of Sheffield from 1 January 2023 to take up a new post as Professor of Environmental Sustainability in the Institute of Biotechnology at the 9 1Ãâ·Ñ°æÏ of Manchester. This new position will allow him to refocus on his research following his diagnosis of Cerebellar Ataxia.

Duncan has made a fantastic contribution to the 9 1Ãâ·Ñ°æÏ in his role as co-Director of the Institute for Sustainable Food.  Besides his research and academic leadership, he has played a leading role in developing the 9 1Ãâ·Ñ°æÏÂ's sustainability strategy; served as an LGBTQ+ champion; and been at the forefront of some amazing KE and public engagement work.
